About Me/My qualifications

I love life, and love to live it to the fullest. I have travelled extensively since the age of 18, greatly broadening my outlook on life, exploring fascinating countries, meeting amazing people and acquiring a deeper understanding of other cultures.

Whilst in India I practiced yoga for the first time and it has been an integral part of my life ever since.  I began taking my yoga practice to a deeper level in 2006 when I began my first steps into the truly fascinating world of Chakra Yoga  (The Science of Yoga ) with my teachers and healers David Goulet and Marina Halleran  and studied full time with them in Thailand for 3 months.  For the first few years after this teacher training my focus was primarily on feeling into the alignment of my physical body, gaining  a deeper understanding of my own body, and of the human body in general. This understanding of the physical alignment is the foundation in our Hatha Yoga practice, enabling us to gain an inner wisdom of our own bodies, which allows us to grow and be safe in our yoga practice.

Prior to teaching yoga I predominately worked with children and adults with special needs, as well as adults and young people with drug and alcohol addictions.

In 2008 I decided to undertake a further teacher-training course with Vanessa Rudge and Michael Daly in Vinyasa yoga, which gave me a broader understanding in sequencing yoga poses into a creative dance.   With my thirst for knowledge and for a deeper understanding of Yoga, I studied with many other world renown teachers such as Donna Farhi and Judith Lasiter .

In 2012 I qualified as a Restorative Yoga teacher. I fell in love with this style of yoga, as it is so relaxing and peaceful and suitable for everyone to do.

In 2009 whilst living in Australia I experienced a traumatic event and my health steadily declined. By 2014 doctors believed i was experiencing either M.S or M.E /chronic fatigue. I  spent a considerable amount of time  bed bound and had to use a wheelchair on some occasions. I have healed myself from this through breath education, practice and awareness, as well as understanding, and healing the psychosomatic link as to why I became ill in the first place. I now help others to heal themselves (you can read more about my healing journey HERE).

This journey from  dis-ease to health pulled me inwards . I wanted to dive deeper, explore my inner world, my mind, my energy body,  my breath and how all this strongly correlates to our health and wellbeing  (or disease when not functioning well).  It was due to my ill health and this desire to go deeper that I returned to study Chakra Yoga once more with my teacher David Goulet. Davids’ teachings come from a scientific foundation incorporating  the knowledge of quantum physics. Many of these new findings and discoveries were well known by our ancient cultures.. During this life transforming experience I also qualified as a Chakra Yoga Healer.

I have such a great desire and passion to share these authentic teachings with you. I feel absolutely blessed that I discovered yoga . Little did I know that what began as a physical exercise and stretch, would lead to a life transforming journey, leading me to discover my fascinating inner world . Bringing me a deeper awareness of myself and others, and I’m very grateful to still be on this wonderful journey of life ……..

Sincere gratitude to my teacher David Goulet, a master in his field and Marina Halleran who sadly is no longer with us, but I have beautiful memories of her great wisdom , loving and fun nature and with a voice of an angel.  Gratitude also to David’s teacher the late Dr Swami Gitananda, medical doctor and yogi. Also to my teachers Vanessa Rudge and Michael Daly.
